Dejan, skipper of Lumba won the Nordic Championship of 2012. Congratulations!!!
Lumba won 3 points ahead of fasttits in 2nd place, and 5 points ahead of euphoria in 3rd. As usual NC was decided in the most marginal way. Prior to the medal race, Ryh00 (who ended 4th), was leading only 4 points ahead of Lumba and 5 ahead of the other two podium finishers. At the first mark of the medal race, Lumba, fasttits and euphoria were head to head, and it became clear that the first of the three to finish would win NC. Lumba managed to pull off a lead in the tricky conditions downwind, while fasttits and euphoria was having a hard fight for 2nd (with DC and edo playing a vital role). Note: The top 9 positions were taken by skippers from 9 different nations!

The Race Committee would first of all like to thank all the participants. It's you who actually makes the event interesting and a pleasure to sail. Zero protests in the finals and fair and hard sailing says it all. Thanks to the hosts for managing the races well. Thanks to the course designers who gave us very challenging arenas to battle it out on. And last but not least, big thanks to the Protest Committee who again sacrificed their sleep in order to serve us all with efficient decisions.
